In these displays the incredible possibilities within ordinary items were highlighted. Materials were put through beautiful transformations creating end results that are abstracted at times and representational at others. Materials were manipulated to create life-like finishes and objects. The store was adorned by a cluster of perforated hammered jewel-like shapes covered in a faux patina finish created with acrylic paint and flour. A large scale garnet medallion sculpture was mounted on a focal wall. Combining fiber art, craftsmanship and a plaster gold leaf finish. A white tailed deer family moved into store for a point of drama.
