Mechanomorphic features works on paper that reconcile polar systems of thought, artist/ engineer. Greenwood’s water-based paintings simultaneously explore accident and the imposition of control by juxtaposing recognizable mechanical forms with expressive color washes. These works alienate the meaning of the familiar in order to explain the artist’s everyday existence, action, thought and emotion.
