Cheryl Greenwood is a contemporary painter from Plymouth, MA. Her recent mixed media work focuses on the juxtaposition of vibrant automatist color washes and cognitive drawings. The imaginary landscapes reconcile rational and irrational to form a new binary system symbolic of her everyday life and occurrences.
Greenwood’s artwork is in many private residences and in several private collections including the Savannah College of Art and Design Permanent Collection. She has exhibited her work from Boston to Atlanta. Greenwood is a Fine Arts graduate from Boston University. She studied printmaking at the Scoula Internationale de Grafica in Venice, Italy. Greenwood completed her MFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008. After her studies Cheryl pursued a career in Independent Curation and a career in retail fabrication and window display.
